groceries<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p><strong>Thursday 9 January 2020<\/strong> \u2013 Australia\u2019s leading hunger relief organisation, Foodbank, is playing a crucial role in the current unprecedented bushfire crisis and has the latest urgent request \u2013 Foodbank is still accepting donations from the public in all states around the country, but it\u2019s preference is funds to be donated at www.foodbank.org.au.<\/p>\n<p>Foodbank warehouses are open in every capital city for the general public to drop off donations of much-needed food and groceries.<\/p>\n<p>Most wanted items:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Donated funds to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodbank.org.au\">www.foodbank.org.au<\/a><\/li>\n<li>UHT Milk<\/li>\n<li>Bottled water<\/li>\n<li>Breakfast cereals<\/li>\n<li>Good quality tinned foods and meals (with ring pulls)<\/li>\n<li>Pasta, rice and noodles<\/li>\n<li>Grab-and-go foods like muesli bars<\/li>\n<li>Pet food<\/li>\n<li>Baby products \u2013 formula, nappies, pureed food in jars \/ pouches<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With more than one in five Australians experiencing food poverty at some point in the last 12 months<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>, Foodbank Australia is currently providing food and grocery relief to 815,000 Australians every month, on top of additional support to communities currently experiencing
