Prior to opening Mystical Parlors, Ms. Hallas was an advertising sales representative and writer for Sound Magazine concentrating on client communications and reporting on local bands, events and food & music critiques. She continues freelance writing for Sound Magazine on a regular basis.
Previously, Kim was employed as Director of Operations for Post Road Capital Management, LLC, which was a $150 Million hedge fund located in Westport, CT. She handled all client matters and office administration focused on administration, financial reporting, marketing and daily operations.
Kim was employed as Public Relations Assistant and Assistant Editor for the Financial Accounting Foundation, which is the organization responsible for general oversight, funding activities and selecting members of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), and their advisory councils. Her main responsibilities including advising Board members of current and significant news developments; managing the Board's public speaking program; developing and maintaining relationships with the media; and preparing, editing and distributing annual reports, monthly newsletters and press releases.
Ms. Hallas graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sacred Heart University. She received a B.S. with a double major in Finance and Business Management. She is a nominated member of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. She has two children and resides in Easton, Connecticut.
